Just passed your driving test?

Congratulations! We knew that you would be able to pass with our affordable and excellent driving instructors.

But just before you get on the road do remember our handy checklist

• Make sure you have exchanged your provisional driving licence for your full driving licence
• You are fully insured to drive ( and have the permission of the owner to drive)
• You have your “ P Plates” displayed on the car
• That the car is regularly maintained and taxed.

Exchanging your provisional licence

You must ensure you swap your provisional licence for your full licence. Some examiners will take your provisional licence and send it off for you others require you to do this yourself. Eitherway- do make sure you remember to swap your licence. Failure to do so will mean that you will have to retake your test for your full licence after two years!

Insurance

Before you drive you must make sure that you phone the insurance company and have valid insurance. Failure to have valid insurance is a criminal offence which can lead to you losing your licence.

P Plates

Whilst this is not a legal requirement, it is a handy reminder to other drivers that you are a newly qualified driver and allows them to give you a little more time ( and be more patient) with you.

Maintained and tax

Just before you rush out to buy a car remember you, as the owner, are responsible for its maintained and keeping it MOT and ensuring it has road tax every single year- failure to do this is a criminal offence.
